Dakota Jones died at birth on March 11, 1999, at 4:47pm.
He was 6lbs, 4oz, 19.5 inches long, with a full head of curly, dark hair.
Ten toes, ten fingers, absolutely perfect. Except he was not breathing.
When we nicknamed him early in the pregnancy, I had no idea how his name would influence my life.
KOTA: knowing ourselves thru art
Much work and life has been created from his death. My own KOTA mission is his legacy, my Different Kind of Parenting, my way of using all the time, energy, love, money that would have been his if he'd lived.
